Las Fallas 2020. Light shows and main illuminated streets

Some of the most anticipated moments of the Las Fallas celebration, are the light shows and inauguration of the illuminated streets. This year the events will be taking place Friday, the 6th of March, in the five main locations that also compete in the A category.

Falla Cuba-Puerto Rico

Launches its light decorations on Friday, the 6th of March, at 20:30. The following days the street will stay continuously illuminated between 20:00 and 04:00.

The light ensemble stretches for 200 meters. The theme is “EvoLUZión” (“LUZ” = “light”) and has to do with the past of this Falla. In 1960 it was the first to decorate a street with lights, and the one which led to the beginning of this tradition.

Falla Cuba-Literato Azorín

The launch of this illuminated street will be on Friday, the 6th of March, at 21:00. It will be the only time when an audiovisual show also will also take place. The following days until the 19th of March will only have visual effects, including during nighttime.

The light structure of Cuba street has a width of 20.8 meters, a height of 21 meters and over 80.000 LEDs. It is programmed to display various light choreographies.

In total, the light decorations of Falla Cuba-Literato Azorín on both streets number at 260.000 LEDs.

Falla Sueca-Literato Azorín

The launch of this illuminated street will take place on Friday, the 6th of March, at 20:00. The project’s name is Colorines.

The light ensemble stretches onto the Suedez and Literato Azorín streets. It is 25 meters in width, 6.75 meters in height and has a total of 238.107 LEDs.

Falla Cádiz-Los Centelles

The launch of this illuminated street will take place on Friday, the 6th of March, at 20:00

Falla Malvarrosa-Antonio Ponz-Cavite

It will launch its light ensemble with a show of light and music, Friday, the 6th of March, at 20:00 and will last (with a few breaks) until 21:30.

The same programme will be repeated on the 7th and 10th of March starting at 20:00.

On the 8th and 9th of March there will be shows of visual effects only, without music.

Between the 14th and 19th of March light and music shows will take place from 20:00 to 22:00.

The project has not yet fully been revealed.
